1. Have you try to connect to a different USB port?
2. What is the make and model of the PS3 controller? Does it comes along with PS3 device?
3. Have you tried with other versions of windows?
This issue normally occurs when the controller is not compatible with the operating system or unsupported.
You may have to manually uninstall and reinstall the driver. Follow the steps provided.
