Cant Eject Cd From Imac
Aug 28, 2009 Eject a Stuck Disk from your Mac DVD Super Drive Aug 28, 2009 - 76 Comments A friend of mine that is new to Macs couldn’t figure out how to get a CD to eject, after some frustration he then complained that his MacBook doesn’t have the paperclip hole to forcibly eject a disc from the superdrive. Find your disc in the left sidebar and click the eject button up top, or right-click on the disc and select the eject command. You can also eject using OS X's Disk Utility. For the really stuck disc, there are some Terminal commands you can use to force eject it. The most common way of ejecting a disc on a Mac - either a CD or a DVD - is to drag it into the trash or press the eject button commonly found in the upper right corner of the keyboard. 2 If the disc is not displayed, go to Applications / Utilities / Disk Utility, and eject from there. Restart the computer. Immediately after the startup sound, press and hold the key combination Command-Option-O-F. Note: The Command key has the Apple and icons on it. Release the keys when you see a white screen that says “Welcome to Open Firmware.”. At the prompt, type: eject cd. Press Return, then wait a few seconds. Press and hold the eject key. Right click on the disc icon in Finder, or on your desktop, and select the “eject” option from the menu. Drag the disk icon to the Trash. If you’re disc is truly stuck, it’s likely that these won’t fix your problem. ASK MAX: I CAN’T GET MY G4 IMAC TO EJECT A CD Asked on: I’ve got an iMac – 17″ flat panel.
